IF you are planning on "ship it to the other side of the state "
If that is Knoxville to Memphis, that's 400 miles --
to place a 38' sailboat on a truck trailer, pull the stick, and replace it,
in and out of the water in a marina, etc.etc.etc.,,
a LARGE portion of your $10k budget will be consumed by just your move over land!!

You should get a few estimates and see how it fits in your financial plan,

Hi Kamryn.

Did you end up buying the boat?

I have had mine, a 1997 for 12 years now and it has been great. Seems no more than the usual maintenance required. there is an author by the name of Liz Copeland that has written 3-4 books on sailing her B38 around the world with her husband on two children.
