Still , at 5:30 I’ll break out the port and standard cocktails ( Japanese slipper and Pink Lady )
Life ain’t bad , sh1t happens ,boats break , etc
Oh and the destination always seems to windward

Re: IN SEARCH OF AWESOME
Taste will always be a factor. I am very fond of all Robert Perry designs and anything built by the Ta Shing yard in Taiwan in the 80s. The Baba 35 and 40 are great aft-cockpit cutters that have excellent records of circumnavigation and are surprisingly fast and point well. Also, the Tayana 36 from the Ta Yang yard is another Perry design with a great record. Have fun in your search and your retirement.

Once you go back more then 2 years , either you or a PO will have had to do major serious refurbs and or replacements , if not done this cost will fall on you. Stuff ages , get tired , breaks and old stuff may not be made anymore , requiring whole systems to be replaced.

Thank you for your reply and suggestion.
They seem to be fine ships, but they are full keel and I want to keep it as much as possible 2000+ in age, for insurance and maintenance costs.

Thank you for your wise reply.
Yes I do agree with you, this is why I'm trying to keep it to 2000+ for insurance and maintenance costs.
