Identify sailing boat

Hello I’m working on this sailing boat and would like to find a lot more info about it.
At the moment we know that it is about 1984
And it is 28ft
It came to Greece from UK

Then there is nothing more described in the boat documents.
I would love to know manufacturer
I uploaded general image of the boat and the logo from the side of the boat and sail.

Re: Identify sailing boat

There is an online HIN decoder: https://hindecoder.com/

Unfortunately, your "LL6987" is not a valid HIN. But, if you find a HIN, that will tell you the manufacturer and confirm the year the boat was made. Sometimes you will find the HIN etched into the gelcoat on the transom. It can be difficult to see if you are not looking for it. Or you might find it in some paperwork, once you know what to look for.

Re: Identify sailing boat

I see that LL6987 on the stern in your picture. That would be a registration number.

The HIN, if it has one, would be molded into the hull, in letters and numbers about 6mm high. Generally on the starboard side of the transom, and likely 12 characters long. In the photo you posted, I would guess a HIN on that boat (if it has one) would be located just under the dockline that comes to the starboard stern cleat.

The HIN can be decoded to tell you manufacturer, year of production, serial number, etc.

On vessels without a full transom it's more likely on the starboard side, near the rub rail at the stern.
What is a HIN
