Everyone’s ideal boat is different. I’ve owned 4 nice sailboats and my currentboat is an extensively restored and equipped Island Packet 29. Very comfortable and very stable sailboat. Does not sail very fast but I’m not in a hurry. The IPs can be pricey.
In one hour you can remove it completely. I heard of people cutting a few feet off. Most marinas charge 27-35 foot. You come in with a cape dory 18 and they charge the same as a 35.
Great ideas and suggestions everyone. I have adjusted some of the prior "requirements" if not all of them and I am checking out 1978 S2 9.3a in a great shape. It appears that is has everything I need and want in a package that I can enjoy and comfortably afford. Located in the marina next door with a motivated seller.

Ah, that sounds a really good possibility. S2s have a good rep. Good luck!

SailboatData.com doesn’t list S2-9.3 so I assume you mean S2 9.2a.
