Currently looking to
purchase a 1986
Hunter 28.5.
Boat is listed in fair condition. On first
inspection I noticed a hairline crack on both the leading and trailing edge at the
keel to
hull joint.
In doing some
internet search on this topic, the condition appears on occasion, with most folks not really expressing a concern other than making a
epoxy repair and moving on. Someone did refer to this as the "Hunter Smile". - ok. (I have not yet had a
survey done on the boat).
Can anyone advise as to the seriousness of the problem, how to
repair or should I stay away from the
boat. I'm somewhat interested in the boat as the rest of the boat appears in fair condition for its age.
Appreciate any guidance, comments, thoughts or suggestions.
