Re: How to rig my asymmetrical spinnaker.

You'll have a Guy pole with your kite.

We never got around to it but always fantasized about using a shorter Guy Pole.
Usually just slowly making way, knowing we had plenty of time to get there, we'd just run with Genoa and main. A shorter pole would have suited our boat with that respect.

Bigger advantage would be reaching the kite. Using the Guy Pole as per normal and tracing Guy Sheet through the shorter pole would square the torque on Guy Eye rather than stretch line. Making life a little bit easier. If you decide to bear off, such system simply copes well, drops out of trace without tension is one option, less square torque during run another option.
We reach for alot of torque.
Congratulations on vessel sir..
Just throwing an idea that's probably easier to co-ordinate via chat with your crew whom have might use aboard.

Your Welcome!
You might consider a Dousing Sock, "Chute Scoop" is the trademark name.
A- sails can be a bit tricky to retrieve, short handed.

I fly my spins singlehanded almost all the time. I don’t think I would bother even trying without a dousing sock.
I do have a top/down furler I bought from another CF member a while back, and hope to rig that and see if that sail furling method has advantages for light downwind sails.

You might like it since you do not have to leave the cockpit to deploy and douse. I had one on my Hunter 386 and worked great. Tie yarn around the sail to keep it in place until you are ready to deploy it and when you deploy by pulling on the continuous furling line the yarn will break. Before you jib, I furled it in and once the jib was completed I deployed it.

That’s good to hear. I like the yarn stopper idea also. I douse my spins with the dousing sock when jibing and fly them with a single sheet.
