How to remove an electric PROFURL furler
This was installed just below deck level in the anchor locker, decades ago, on a Jeanneau. Its dead. I assume the cover on the front can be take off, but what looks like the bolt holes are all filled with some kind of hardened silicon.

What is the procedure for takiung this all apart, even to the point of removing the mast, and disconnecting the forestay?
