How to determine Salvage Value for a boat?

Can anyone help me to determine the salvage value of a 1990 Benetau First 35s5 or simply a rule of thumb?


For example, assume the resale value is $30,000 - $50,000. Is a reasonable salvage value 10%?



Parts only boat, hull damaged beyond repair but did not sink.


Any input would be appreciated.

Yes 10% is normal for a fixable hull. If only for parts, then possibly only 5-7% of the lower value in the range since you will then be responsible to get rid of the hull, etc. after you've removed the parts you want.
