Hinckley b40 Archive, Will Share . . .

Over the course of about 5 years of b40 shopping, I have compiled files on 119 b40s out of the 200 and some made. This includes photos, price histories, mostly from yachtworld. We finally pulled the trigger on Hull #132 last year but I am still updating the archive as I see them come up for sale.

If anyone is interested in the archive I would be glad to share. Just send a blank , writable cd with return postage. The archive is around 700mbs. Just send me a private message for contact info.

A generous offer Loquat, nice of you to take the trouble. The HB40 is one of two that I would most love to own. Beautiful sailboats.

here's one for your archive! I just bought hull #152. Regaelia (Originally named Altair). She's a MKIII sloop...1978. Flag blue.

Re: Hinckley b40 Archive, Will Share . . .

She was (the previous owner said) the last boat owned by John Hinckley, then named "Altair" and she had a grey hull. PO had her renamed and awlgripped flag blue. She was kept in Maine until brought to Maryland and put on the hard. I'm going to bring her back as I can afford to, I'd like to re-power and upgrade the electronics. She's beautiful though...coming back to life nicely. I'm on the Choptank river and may eventually move to the Hinckley yard at Oxford Md.

Hello,
I sent you a PM regarding your B40 archive. Never got a response. I bought 'Fan' (40192) two years ago.

Need the information to send you a blank disk.

Regards,
Ed

Re: Hinckley b40 Archive, Will Share . . .

Are you aware of a Hinckley forum? I have a good friend who purchased a B40 and he's looking to network with other owners.

Thanks,
James

James,
There is a B40 owners association located in the Chesapeake Bay area. You don't have to be located there as quite a few members are not (such as me).

They put out an occasional newsletter called 'Talarian'. PM me for contact information.
