The man's a legend here in the UK. Gives me hope for the years to come as a just retired 60 year old setting out on a circumnavigation in April.

Speaking ahead of the race, Sir Robin said: "I am doing this because I bloody well want to."

Best reason!

Two comments:
1.) RLG= The real deal
2.) Remembering a time when people could actually dance
O.K. . . there's a third . . .
3.) Loved those cashmere sweaters . . .but wait . . . there is a fourth --compliments of the Edison Park Boys in Chicago. Enjoy
Peppermint Twist - Joey Dee & The Starliters - YouTube

Good luck and good sailing

Re: He's still at it...

Even my mom and dad enjoyed that song, and showed me some surprisingly
good moves while dancing to it back in the early sixties. One of my female classmates and
I were the High School twist champions 61-62. "The Twist" by Chubby
Checker was the song that got us started, but got into the Peppermint Twist
after it came along.

One of my brothers was named Robin. We ragged his ass a lot with Rockin Robin...

Great memories boatie,,,thanks !
