help / advice needed,freedom rig

hello and thanks for looking, I recently purchased a 38 ft Roberts (modified to 40 ft) yacht with carbon masts, more info coming on specifics, but essentially im looking for advice on rigging as im a total newbie to this set up, at present it looks as if sails have been on some sort of attactment that would go around mast , like toggled straps.. initially I'd use this meathod, however all I have at hand is the sails, she's a little run-down, but nothing some elbow grease wont sort, I will post photo's soon, and give a clear detailed description of what im dealing with, yacht located in Dunedin , new Zealand, she was sailed out from north America many years ago, sketchy info at hand.....hoping to build on that also. The upside is "ARCADY' is a beautiful yacht , ideal for living aboard, and has a new owner who wants to add some love, and point her toward the blue. chris
