Hello everyone. I'm in the Houston/Galveston area and would like to look at a Gulfstar 39 to help me make a few decisions concerning if this is the boat for me to purchase as a live-aboard. I've looked/read up on MANY boats and feel the Gulfstar 39 is the one for me. But you know how it is,,, I need to look at one.

There are two on the east side of Florida for sale, one in San Diego and one in Cowichan Bay, BC. Either distance is a plane trip and I'd rather find one closer to me if possible just to look at.

If you can help me I would greatly appreciate it.

I know its not a 39, but maybe looking at it and keeping the 39 in mind would help you a little.

I know there are a few groups on meetup.com for sailing in our area, you might try joining and posting on one of those.

We have on in Annapolis. We could do a short video chat to show you around if you want. We are selling at the moment but love to show others how the set up is.
Great live aboard boats. Ours is a 1981 with the full teak package.

No need for a video as you describe. I've seen several on the internet but, are you saying you're going to be selling your Gulfstar 39?

If so, I'd be interested in discussing that with you.

There is a gulfstar for sale just down from me in watergate. It's either a 37 or 39. I'll check again when I walk past it again and let you know.

I am on the east coast of Florida. Where are the two located.

I found one (1981 asking around 70k) in Jax Beach on Yacht World. Where is the other one?

Yes, I know. It's $69K. There's another in St. Augustine at 28K, one in San Diego for $87K.

I've seen tons of pics and a couple vids of the Gulfstar 39. Read up on them a bit too. I'd just like to now actually see one in person. All 3 of the afore mentioned 39's are a long distance from me. Would love to find one close to Houston.
