Actually there are three versions of the 44 MkII, A, B and CC. The A has only one stateroom the B and CC both have two.

A lot of boats have only one stateroom, especially smaller aft cockpit boats. One reason is there are a lot of boats that are sailed by a couple who don't want to devote space to sleeping quarters they don't want or need.

Another reason is much under 40' it's hard to fit more than one stateroom in a boat and keep nice lines and reasonable size in the rest in the one stateroom, galley and head.

Gozzard 44 is one of the finest yachts built today. At the boat show">Annapolis boat show, it was the only boat we felt compelled to go aboard. Would love to own one.

With a couple of minor modifications I really admire the CC layout – No room for mutineers!
