My GibSea 352 has a cars & track as normal for controlling the Genoa etc. But I don't get how they work. Pictures should explain what they are and what they look like - I can't find a way to fix them in position.
Looks like there is a button under the line on forward end of car. Could that be a stopper pin? Failing that any kind of pin stopper or pin car aft of the block will work. It’s not built to use a tackle to drag and hold in position as there is no place/room to secure a block to the car.
Thank you,
Yes, it looks possible as a stopper. I tried pushing and it won't budge - on either car.
But now you've suggested this, I'll try some WD40 and maybe a gentle hammer to free it!

I'd pull a car off the track and look at the underside for a protruding pin before applying a hammer. If the button is for a plunger there will be obvious structure visible.
While you have it off, lube the bearings! And then take the other one off and do the same...
