French Riviera to
Tunisia with Deep
Water Deliveries
If I had not known how to speak
English I would have chosen to give “a pain in the ass” or “ass hole” as a nickname to Boatman 61. Not that I mean that Boatman 61 is any of those, not at all, but only because this genuine British gentleman, sort of a cheerful and unexpected relic of the former British Empire would swear in more than frequent occasions colouring his speech of those sweet swearwords which make life easier. This really eased the relationship with this joyful and experienced sailor. Indeed, this is not easy for anyone to just jump aboard your vessel where there is only little room to share and to make life easy and comfortable for all. But this accomplished to do just in a minute Boatman 61. I wish to thank him here. “Hey *******, thanks!”
I would not too much recommend starting your sailing experience with Boatman 61. Many among those who dream of sailing around the world do not quite realize what it does mean. We fancy of turquoise warm waters, smooth as silk seas and coconut trees alongside sunny beaches and forget what real sailing is all about. Sailing is not a dream story and should be regarded as a serious adventure with great rewards when properly achieved. Just do not dream of
buying your sailing
boat to go around the world without having experienced what sailing life is like. Once you have been seasick for a few days and that it has gone, you will have to face the nature of the sea which depends on
weather conditions. There can be sunny days and calm waters, bad
weather with strong winds hissing through your
mast, swell and waves rolling your
boat to sides, up and down and you there not being able to stand on your two legs and being jostled around. You then believe that your powerful
engine is going to be helpful to reach the port where you want to call and wait for better weather. No, no do not rely too much on your
engine. It might fail right when you need it.
Battery too low, short of
fuel, clogged filters, etc. Then what, weather is bad, sea is rough, no engine, you can only sail to
destination and this is going to be a hard
work which requires you to be fit and well trained. I tell you a pain in the ass! If you are not too sure about your sailing skills and your engine you would better rely on Boatman 61. He will be your spare engine just when you need it!
