Lumpy, that would be one of the earliest years so the glass should be foot
thick!

Let us know how you get on.

Re: Fraser 30

I'm researching boats built by the De Kleer brothers in Richmond for a possible article. We ourselves own a Fraser 30 that we have used to explore the BC coast for the past 12 summers.
As has been mentioned already in this thread, the de Kleers only built the hulls and decks of their boats and in that they did a superb job. The quality of finishing varied from boat to boat, depending on the expertise of the finisher. While I love the layout of our cabin, many aspect of the finishing, as well as the electrical and water systems, needed significant upgrading. Good thing my husband had the time, know-how, money and patience to do the work himself! We now have a comfortable, reliable boat that has taken us all over the southern BC waters as well as to the San Juans.
While I will be meeting with Arie de Kleer in a few weeks, I would also like to hear from other owners - not just of Fraser 30's. but also 41's, 50;s and Endurance 36's. I'm wondering how long you've had your boat, where you sail, what you like and/or don't like about her and also anything interesting about your boat that you wouldn't mind sharing - e.g. has she seen you through any particularly difficult situations, etc.
I'm looking forward to your answers.

Mary Ann,

I am currently in Vancouver on business and assume you are also in BC? If you call my cell 203 856 3689 I would be very interested in talking with you.
