The reason for me putting this up here is that i got asked about them when i was in Garstang last weekend and happened to be staring one in the face and thinking that it looked really really pretty
The designers of the original MKI
Fisher 25 have brought the design into the 21st century and have secured another yard to build these heavy
displacement "small"
fishing type
motor sailors

The guys building them are Neil
Marine in Sri Lanka probably because the original quality fit and finish of those craftsmen and quality of materials is already there so it keeps costs down (a lot) compared to the European and US plastics. The
Fisher 25 is near damn a wooden
boat that is sheathed in grp with the pig iron inside the grp. structurally unreal - you'd be trying very very hard if you managed to severely damage one. they reckon that you could take it anywhere and know that you're gunna be totally fine
The guy to speak to is roger and he can be found at
roger@fisherboatcompany.com the website is
Fisher Motor Sailers and Yachts these little boats can take the worst of anything - can sleep 5 in total luxury - have a proper
head, a proper
galley and enough space to swing the proverbial cat and the wheelhouse is truly unreal in terms of size with a full size chart table plus enough space to put down a brew without spilling it

also available as either a
ketch or
sloop rig.
The weight of the Fisher 25 MKII is in the region 61/2
English tons

proper loads of pig iron in the bottom of frame
work and the whole
interior of the
boat looks like a proper
English country house with all the trimmings -- the only thing that's missing is the
wood burner but I'm sure someone will fit one
If anyone wants more info etc.... give me a shout
tazbowdler@yahoo.co.uk and I'll send you the pdf's and as much info as i got from roger

sloop or
ketch 34 and a
cutter rigged 37 both of these plus a version of the 25 MKI are available to be custom built by Northshore - the guys responsible for the Southerly yacht range
