First Post! What the heck is a Wibo 850?

Hello everyone!

After lurking for months creeping on all of you; I finally have something worth posting since I can literally find NOTHING about this specific boat/model.

WIBO 850 Motorsailor.

From the (current) owner; the specs are as follows:

Length: 8.5 Meters (27.88 FT)
Beam: 2.6 Meters (8.5 FT)
Draft:1.1 Meters (3.6 FT)

I have yet to find even a layout of this boat (I do have pictures and basic description but literally nothing online really about it). It's not entirely what I am looking for - it's small and weird but it would let me do the loop while I find a "real" sailboat stateside. It has a volvo MD2B Diesel engine which is far more efficient than the other twin V8 motor boats I'm looking at.

Does anyone have any experience on one of these? Any feedback or thoughts?

Cheers,
Jordan

Ihave no personal knowledge of the boat but it appears to be have been built in the Netherlands and it also seems to have a mast tabernacle. Could be very handy for raising and lowering the mast.

Is the hull steel? The attached file indicates that it may be.

Here's a pdf, how's your german?

Hi and thanks for replying! Yes it's an interesting thing and I've youtubed/googled/searched everything I can think of to see how it sails, a layout in general, any information - good or bad.

Yes the hull is steel and it has both a tiller and a steering wheel in the "pilothouse" which is really the salon/galley.

I'm curious to see if anyone here has seen/sailed one or has an experience.

Cheers!
