First 47.7 vs Hanse 461E

Hi everyone!
Long time listener first time caller

I'm after advice and experiences on the Beneteau First 47.7 and the Hanse 461E. My wife and I and our two kids (2 and 5) are looking to buy either of these two for long term live aboard and ocean cruising. I also would love to do a few of the big races along the way (Fastnet, Caribbean 600, Middle sea race, Antigua race week, Transpac) finishing up in our home port Wellington New Zealand

Keen to hear of everyone's thoughts and sailing experiences good and bad!

Hanse 461, epoxy laminate, internal Steel grid structure, First 47, polyester laminate , internal FG grid bonded to the hull, having fixed a first 47 in the past i put my money in the Hanse in terms of quality of construction, both boats are a blast to sail , but for long term cruising in mind i think the Hanse is a better choice, just my opinión..

Oh great to know thanks. What happened to the 47.7? The fg frame bonded in was my least favourite part of the construction of the first. I assume they are much of a muchness performance wise?
