Re: Finally Got My New Boat

Congratulations on your Tayana 37. Its a beautiful boat. You probably already know about the Tayana Owners Group (TOG). Also get to know Wilson Chang at Tayana World, the Ta-Yang Shipyard. I have gotten amazing factory support for my 1989 Tayana V42. Its great to have a builder that is still in businesses and will help you with info about how your boat was constructed, what the component parts were and who supplied them, etc. Contact is wilsonchang421@gmail.com.

Re: Finally Got My New Boat

I saw your pics over on TOG - our potential bowsprit is in better condition, at least. However, the mast might have termites.

The decks have been ground down in preparation for painting. The owner is still working on her, perhaps in hopes of getting something back beyond what is owed to the dockmaster.

Whats sad is, that bowsprit is only 2.5 years old. Oh well. If they can salvage it I'll be happy as the boat yard is recommending I replace the mast.
