False bilge unknown hose

Hey all, so i know the Hunter 34 has a lot of threads about the false bilge, mine looks as tho the false bilge has been cut away and replaced at some point but i cannot figure out what the hose is that runs into the bilge pan? i've tried to trace it back, it runs aft under the galley maybe back to the cockpit somewhere but i haven't found it yet, it doesn't go below the bilge pan but rather has a screened bottom as if it would suck out the bilge as apposed to something draining into the bilge, its a large hose maybe 1 1/4 or 1/12 it doesn't go to the galley sink as that drains straight down to a sea cock, i thought maybe from the ice box, i thought about this just know, i guess i could pour water down the ice box and see if it drains here, if so why the screen? to keep possible trash out of the bilge pump? anyone have this or know for sure?

Thanks,
Roy

Re: False bilge unknown hose

Maybe this is for a manual bilge pump. Sometimes these are mounted so they can be pumped from the cockpit. The handle is usually removable and the pump will have a cover flap over it. I would look for the emergency bilge pump and that could be where the hose goes.

Sure looks like the manual pump suction to me.
