Re: Fake Boats?

I had an XS 1100 Yamaha in my more foolish years, it stuck to the road like glue, and was fast enough to do something really foolish on. Fortunately I survived the experience. I think the next bike will be more stately in pace and appearance.

I'm through riding but constantly enjoy seeing Harley riders. Don't even need to see the bikes to recognize a rider cuz all those fiercely independent, modern day cowboys dress alike. It's just special ...

I know I'm stepping on friendly toes here but Harley guys have those big boots.

If you want a real laugh you should watch "South Park" episode: Harley owners are fags.
That was so damn funny if you haven't seen it its worth finding it.

Re: Fake Boats?

I had a Suzuki GSXR 750 and my wife had a ninja 636 until they both got stolen. Loved those bikes, but now with a child it's probably best we don't have them anymore.

Re: Fake Boats?

Thanks Hoppy. That was great. I know a shipload of drs and lawyers with hogs. They all tow'em to Sturgis and Daytona in their toy haulers. Don their duds. Strut around: "We bad." Better my sister in a whorehouse than my brother on a Harley.

Buddy has a big Honda Interstate. 200,000 very quiet, vibration-free miles. So far. It would take half a dozen noisy, rough-riding Harleys to do that.

Re: Fake Boats?

Hmmm...

How come it is OK to criticize Harleys but not Catalinas or Beneteaus?

Lets get back to boats...

Everyone's entitled to their opinion. Some are based on loads of experience, some aren't.

Re: Fake Boats?

Nothing wrong with Harley's as they have decent build quality but the designs are from the 1930's, kinda like some sailboats.

Re: Fake Boats?

I'm a tried and true lover of sport bikes but has anyone ridden a new Harley? Now that I'm not 21 anymore I've learned to love the comfort and my next bike is going to be a street glide.

Re: Fake Boats?

Sportsbikes are like humping a football as we used to say. There are so many better and more comfortable street bikes than any Harley has produced but Harley has done a world class job on marketing and selling lifestyle so I understand the draw. Sitting straight up with your feet forward (the Harley stance) is not that good for your back and is not really comfortable on the long haul.

I've got to try humping a football because those bikes were fun. I do get it about the Harleys though. Maybe I just succumbed to their marketing. Good or bad I still want one. I think they're comfy and comparing to my sportbike its like a freakin cadillac. But as long as you're riding that's the important thing
