Re: F&C 44' KETCH: Lost documents-- please help?

Congratulations Puddle Jumper you will find she is a fine sailing boat and they don't come prettier. I am the owner of an F&C44 #23 ONYX and have the documentation you are looking for just not in electronic form, I'll try and scan what I have. Sail plans are on line, just do a search for F&C 44 ketch.
I have done quite a bit work on ONYX I'll be glad to advise on any projects, send me your email if you would like to get in touch.

The F&C 44 is just about the most beautiful boat I have ever laid eyes on. Very nice down below as well.

Re: F&C 44' KETCH: Lost documents-- please help?

Hi Puddle Jumper and Congratulations

I almost purchased one in NZ. She is named "Compass Rose" and she too had chainplate corrosion problems. I contact the Frers design office and they are great to deal with. For a very small fee they sent construction drawings and were very helpful WRT how to go about the repairs. Give them a go. Long story short we didn't proceed but another lucky Kiwi did and Compass Rose now graces waters around Nelson and the beautiful Tasman Bay on the top of the South Island. She looks real pretty to my eyes and I still wonder if I made the right call with her....

Bet that 'fix' cost a pretty penny above and beyond the Awl Grip job.

Hi Regor. Where does your boat lie? I am looking to purchase in the next year or two. Not sure how to send a private message here but I would be interested in emailing or a phone call.
