My husband and I cruised on a
Ranger 33 for almost three years, first down the Pacific coast to
Panama, crossed to
Galapagos, did the puddle jump to
French Polynesia, sailed from
Marquesas to
Hawaii and from there back to home port in Francisco. After that, I have to say that the
Ranger is an amazing
boat and totally exceeded our expectations.
Our neighbor in the marina has an
ericson 35, and although I don't like the lines as much as the ranger I have to say I like the
companionway much better, since it's way smaller and better for open ocean sailing. Also, the decks are definitely wider, which is another good thing that the ranger doesn't have.
