Ericson 32?

What do you guys think of Ericson Yachts? There is one for sale on Craigslist near me..does not specify year, or equipment..but, the price is 5500 and it is close to me (on the hard)..so, I am thinking of looking at it. Is there anything in particular that one should look for in regards to Ericsons? It has been in this storage yard about a mile from my house for at least a year..on stands. Never seen anyone working on it or anything..

Ericson's are well built boats . The 32 is a wonderful boat . But for 5500K , that one is way under priced . If you are willing to fix it up it could be a jewel in the rough .

Curious if you ever purchased the boat ?
I am looking at a 32 this Saturday , same price area..

no, the boat was basically a hull only..been out of the water for upwards of 10 years..no sails, etc. Didn't want to take on a total refit unless the boat was free. Lol.
I do see a few Erickson's around here and there and would certainly consider one if it fit..

Used to sail a 32 and two 38s a lot. Good boats.

My concern in your post is not the brand name ericson, but all the other factors. I don't know anything though, I don't even have myown boat, but even an Amel or Oyster, that has been on the hard, not rigged, years gone by etc... brand mean nothing here.

There is a specific website built around ericson yachts. Come check it out. Lots of good intel.
