Greetings all,
I just bought a 43' 2" LOD 14' beam, Ed Monk design cutter rigged double ended cruiser. she has a cold molded hull and a center cockpit. I am trying to find more information about this boat. She was originally called Maraya and is out of Seattle. She looks a little like Mainer III. Any information would be greatly appreciated as I have been banging my head against a wall trying to track info down.
You might want to contact the Center For Wooden Boats in SeattleThe Center for Wooden Boats
They have a library that has many of the records from old boat builders and designers in the Northwest. Ed Monk was a legend in this area (I even asked him for a job. Didn't get it but he was nice about it.) I am just finishing up building a small sail boat that is an Ed Monk design.

Ed Monk Sr or Jr? Ed Monk Jr is very much still in the business. He might be the go to guy for you. I have a boat he designed in the 80's. Lines look a little familiar
I am the recent owner of an Ed Monk designed Eagle 40 Trawler. I just made the shift to trawlers after 70 years of sailing in Cuba, the US and other parts of the world. I am interested in discussing my boat with other Monk owners, mostly concerning seakeeping characteristics, etc. I am kind of new on forums like this and need a little help. Any takers?
