Hi All,
I currently have a set of davit's. At some point I will need to get a
dinghy, but up to this point have not decided which
dinghy to get. With the davit arms parallel, they will be spaced 6ft apart. Was wondering if it is possible to adjust the lifting points on most dinghy's to match up with the
davits width? I am assuming it should be a pretty common, many people replace/upgrade their dinghy without replacing stabilizer bar I would imagine. I would like to get my stabilizer bar made and start working on means of attaching a
wind gen. now, and decide about a dinghy at a later date. However if the dinghy should be bought first and the
davits orientated to align with the lifting points, then I will focus on that, and then get my stabilizer bar made. I may pass on a dinghy altogether and just get a couple of kayaks. So what do those with experience say, is it easy enough to modifiy the lifting points on a dinghy to fit a set davit width?
Cheers,
Hank
