Dehler Optima 83 Quality?

Hey Team,

I'm considering purchasing a seemingly well maintained Dehler Optima 83. It truly has been well taken care of. The problem is that I can't find anything on the web speaking to the quality of the boat in general.

Does anybody know anything about these boats? Were they good when they were new in the 70s? They seem like cruising boats geared towards coastal cruising rather than ocean passage making. Am I on the money or way off?

A good friend has a 34 footer and TBH, its very well built, sails well as you'd expect by its breeding and is kept up to a very high standard.
