CS 27 - Any Input?

Hey all,
I was previously looking at a c&c 27, but sold on me and seem to be tough to find in my area (lake ontario, some are around but I want rather good shape) and am looking at a CS 27 (1977). Iv read good things, on living aboard for a year or two, saving the cash up....trailering to FL and single handing for a year in the Carribean. Just wondering what the thoughts are on this, provided the boat is sound and rigged proper. Take note im 25, not concerned about a rough ride and own next to nothing (but have the cash to spend on required gear). Im basically looking for major flaws in the design that would lead me to another boat of similar value (around 20k seaworthy, decent equipment). Any thoughts on the vessel? Or suggestions for something better in the price range? Also take not Im not interested in anything bigger... more room = more crap i dont need
