Boat: Custom 55 foot wooden Schooner

Cruising Central/Latin America Pacific Side
We plan to head from BC down to Panama starting next September and wonder what is the best cruising guide for this trip. Also, we may wish to leave the boat for 4-5 months somewhere along the coast and looking for recommendations.
