Well I wasn't very impressed with the
Cheoy Lee. I'm sure she was a gorgeous
boat in her prime, but she was in a pretty sad state. Soft decks,
wood rot in the
cabin,
leaks everywhere. With that said, the rig looked pretty good. The
wood masts were in decent shape with no signs of
rot that I could tell. She was loaded with cruising
gear, including a nice Lofrand
windlass and a Manson Supreme
anchor. Unfortunately, that wasn't enough for me. Too much of a
project boat for my liking.
Thanks for everyone's input! I definitely went down there with a good checklist of things to look for.
I am now on a plane on my way to see the Westsail 32. Wish me luck!
