Cheoy Lee Luders 30

Hi. I'm looking at a Cheoy Lee Luders 30. The boat is in the water and I opened up the sole to look at keel bolts only to find a water tank and fiberglass. Am I correct in assuming the lead ballast is encapsulated in the FG keel similar to a Cape Dory

If you are looking to buy, be aware there may be osmotic blisters.

Thanks. The blisters usually show up along the waterline just above the bottom paint?

Blisters will be below the waterline primarily if they are there. They become more noticeable when the boat is hauled out, so a diver may not see them easily. My buddy has a CL30 and it had blisters on the hull and keel. Hull is stoutly built though and it is a great boat.
