CDI roller furler on CD25D

I’ve got a CDI roller furler on my CD25D and need some help with rigging. There is a small diameter line that is apparently used as a jib halyard. It runs from the jib through a sheave at the top of the flexible furler post and back to a small cleat at the base. The line is really small (maybe 3/16”) and I plan to replace it with dyneema.

The opposite side of the flexible jib “post” has a “channel” that currently has a somewhat larger line in it that is currently parted but still in place in the channel. One end of this line is fitted with a slide that keeps it from being removed but the slide is only attached at one end.

My guess is the line in that slot was originally the line that raised the jib and somehow parted leaving it in the furler post.

What am I missing here? The furler seems to work with the current line raising and creating it in place but something is busted with the other line.

Thanks in advance for any help!:

Re: CDI roller furler on CD25D

Thanks Jim!!
Somehow I was missing the manual connection and that should help a bunch. I’m not real sure what the model differences are but I do see a resemblance to what I have.

I really appreciate the help.
