Catalina Morgan 43

Interested in feedback on suitability of 1986 Catalina Morgan 43 for a long term cruiser. Just me and the wife. Extensive sailing experience albeit in the 70's - 80's. Mostly island hopping but with desire for occasional passage making to stay with the Atlantic cruising circuit.

Re: Catalina Morgan 43

A friend and his wife sailed one from CT to the Bahamas for many years. He's very handy and redid the aft cabin, twice, but otherwise was pleased with the boat.

I am heading to Fl on Saturday to look at a 1986 model. Would appreciate any other feedback if there is any first hand experience with this model. Thanks!

Re: Catalina Morgan 43

I've never been on one but considered and researched it pretty hard few years ago. The boat is pretty much what you expect from it and would be a good boat for the islands etc. Didn't seem to have any model common problem to look at. If you can swing it the 44 has some advantages.
