Catalina 36 MKIIs, 1994 vs 1997

You folks were extremely helpful when I asked about production vs bluewater boats a few months ago.

Now I have a much more specific question to throw out.

We've narrowed our boat search to an excellently maintained and loved 1994 Cataline 36 MKII and a grubby, recently neglected 1997 36 MKII.

We have a pros and cons list that is relatively easy for us to evaluate, but have noticed that the cockpit and scoop transom on the 1994 is noticeably different than on the 1997.

Do any of you have any insight or experience with these two years? Are there differences that we might not recognize?
