Capri 26 remove interior table

Our Capri 26 is much smaller than our last Catalina's and would like to remove the interior folding table to make more room. Has anyone ever done this and I was wondering if there is an easier way than crawling under and unscrewing everything. *Like a lot of*smaller Catalina's*the Capri 26 table are built around the mast support. Thanks, JOHN
PS: I'll build a smaller table to replace it.

Why not mark out the table to the dimensions you want to build and cut it in place? Seems like the best option to me.
