+1

I think the "W" in the cove stripe points there.

Re: Can you identify this yacht?

I guess the large W in the racing stripe is a big giveaway.

Another type of W in the cove stripe: Warwick, an NZ design, of some antiquity. Please note this is a WAG.

Re: Can you identify this yacht?

Surely OP you're able to give a little meat on the bone:
location,
length
photos from different angles (especially stern and bow)
close up of what looks like a logo
name of vessel,
your own thinking.

Just guessing designer names by recognising what appears to be stylised W that may or may not reflect the designer's (or builder's, or owner's name). Maybe the boat is just called W or owned/once owned by a charter firm and it's their logo.

Oh Ann I think perhaps I was a little slow:
What is a WAG in Australian slang?
"She's a wag of a girl" is a praise that denotes how vivacious, funny, and entertaining the girl is in Australian slang. In this context, "wag" denotes a person who is clever and playful in a friendly manner. A wag of a girl means that she is constantly making making jokes at people or making humorous tricks on others.

^^^^^

WAG= Wild Ass Guess

Not specifically Aussie in origin or use.

And in this case, not a correct guess, for it sure looks like the Wetsail 39.
