Boat option number three in my quest has just come up, but it may have a problem.
I rather like the Camper & Nicholson 48. Probably not as sure footed as the Robert Perry 47 or as fast as the Kelly
Peterson 44 which are the other two contenders, but the
interior layout is terrific and I love the protection afforded by the pilot house structure.
However, I’m seeing a lot of
references to
osmosis with Camper & Nicholson
boats.
Does anyone have any wisdom to add with regards to whether the 48 was affected by
osmosis and to what degree it was or was not a problem?
Also, I’d be interested to hear from anyone who has sailed on one for their opinions on the boat’s general performance as a sailing
boat.
