Calling all Easterly 30 Owners
Hello, I own an Easterly 30 sailboat which was manufactured by Easterly Yacht Co. in Metarie, LA. It is hull number 15.
I'm interested in corresponding with other Easterly 30 owners.
I would especially like to learn the original specifications for the boat and its sails since I have been unable to find anything about it on the Internet.
Sincerely,
Capt. Jim

Perhaps Kevin Johnson, of the Easterly 38 Owner’s Association, could help you.

Thanks for the reply, I'll be sure to check out the Easterly 38 Association. I'll also continue the search for other Easterly 30 owners. I have seen other Easterly 30's on the New Orleans Yacht Club website. I've also seen a couple for sale occasionally, usually on the west coast of Florida. I even saw another Easterly 30 cruising south on the Indian river. It was sail # 3, but I couldn't raise them on the radio.

Hello,
I recently acquired an Easterly 30 on Lake Michigan. It is a project boat with an Atomic4, and built in 1976 (Hull #46). I'm looking forward to working on it. If you have any information, I would be very appreciative if you could share where to find information on this boat. Thanks in advance.
Also, I am more than happy to help out with any information I acquire along the way. Thanks again,
Ash

Re: Calling all Easterly 30 Owners
I suggest you repost on the New Orleans Yacht Club bulletin board. There are quite a few Easterly 30's still being sailed down here and I'm sure some owner could give you a little info. Actually, I'm amazed that some of those boats have gotten so far from home.

I'm probably beating a dead horse here, but when and where did you see that Easterly 30, on the Indian River.
My friend just bought one in November 2013. The previous owner owned it for 9 years, I believe, and lives in Brevard County. I'd have to check the hull number again, but I think it was either #7 or #12. Built in 71' sold in 77'(?).

Re: Calling all Easterly 30 Owners
As mentioned here in New Orleans there are a few of them, enough to race as a one design fleet. The builders son actually owns one and just got done with a huge refit, and his brother is the Boatwright for the US Olympic team. The best place to look for them is NOYC.org, but if you need answers to a specific question let me know and I can put you in contact with them.

Re: Calling all Easterly 30 Owners
My brother and I own an Easterly 30 made in Bucktown. Here is the site concerning the boat EASTERLY 30 (BRENNAN) sailboat specifications and details on sailboatdata.com My Dad raced it for many years and was very successful. The boat is number 12742 and the boat is now in Chattanooga where my brother lives. The boat name is Perla and it survived Katrina with over a year of repairs. Great boats with lots of wonderful memories racing at NOYC and SYC.
