My wife and I crew as a couple and have logged about 5K - 6Knm miles on a variety of vessels.
We have also chartered a sailboat in the
San Juan Islands and in
Greece as part of a flotilla.
So far in each vessel that we have sailed with the
cabin sink drain plugs will pop out when underway and under certain conditions. I think I understand the mechanics of the situation with outside sea
water putting pressure on the through
hull and popping the
plug out. So....
In our continued effort to be good crew and not waist
water we were wondering if this is a common problem or are we just inept at figuring out how to keep the drain
plug in?
Any advise or suggestions are appreciated.
