I think you really need to provide more information. C & Cs are good quality fast boats but, there are so many variables.

The 33 is a close winded boat with very nice sailing characteristics. They are getting a little long in the tooth now but if it has been well kept is a great boat for weekends and local racing.

I own a 40 ft long time ago, in one Word.... Moisture meter, no kidding, deck and hull, if the hull and deck are solid and sound then is a good deal, keel is another point to check carefully, they core to the edge at the keel sump área, the famous C&C keel smile is a regular feature but to wide the gap , suspect.... bulkheads, doors closing properly, original rod rigging is something to check carefully, its a great boat and they sail beautiful, nice hull lines ,,, i see some cruisers doing the caribbean in the 33 , and is perfect ,, just the 6 ft keel draft is a no no in some áreas otherwise is a great boat, Cheers....

That boat is a beauty BUT I must echo neilpride the moisture meter is your best friend. I loked at the boat of my dreams but the deck was so rotten it would bring atear to a glass eye. The MarkI's were not a cored hull but the MarkIII's were to the water line and they draw another six inches of water. Unsure of your intended use but they were one of Robert Ball's best in my humble opinion Another C&C design that has my fancy is the Ontario 32 but it is definitely a cruiser and not a racer and it draws four and a half feet

Lovely boat, great sailing characteristics. Fast. I am a cruiser and as such I will give up some speed in favour of strength. A solid fiberglass hull is my 1st priority. Cored hulls can be just as stiff if not compromised by water migration and if you're dealing with a boat that's longer in the tooth and still doesn't have any moisture in the hull, then you have a gem.
