BRV - Anyone Know this Boat ?

I'm trying to find out about a boat the seller says it's a BRV and I can't find anything on it. It's 28' power boat with a sharp stern and is all aluminum with a pilothouse, seller says it's a 72 with a 50 hp perkins and that the Navy used them as life boats (that's what he said). Pics look good inside and needs paint outside. Does any know what this might be? Seller knows nothing about it. Thanks again...
