Re: Broker recommendation for Rhode Island

Call John Proctor at Lawson Yachts 781-749-1645 or email Lawsonyachts@aol.com. John helped me sell one then buy our retirement dream cruiser, and when we were through cruising helped us downsize to our current boat. Very knowledgeable and attentive to your experience level and sailing plans. RSB333

I'll second Alan Baines. I never bought a boat from him, but have interacted with him online many times and over the phone on several occasions throughout the years. We were friends on facebook as well, but I'm not on that anymore. He's a good guy who can almost certainly help you or steer you in the right direction.

Re: Broker recommendation for Rhode Island

Update: Thanks to everyone for their recommendations, you’ve been very helpful. A few of you suggested Jim Spiro and he has been wonderful. We just came to terms on a 2003 Catalina 380! We’re really excited to be out on Narragansett Bay this season. I’m currently investigating berthing options; we’re driving in from Framingham, MA so travel time is a consideration. I’m honing in on Safe Harbor Cowesett, it’s not too bad a drive, near my mom’s house in Johnston, and at a good spot in the Bay. Very excited to be moving forward!
