We are a French family and we plan to leave next year for a world trip.We would like to know if ones of you knows the Bollard 60 Ketch?
Do you know about any Bollard 60 which has already sailed around the world?

G'day Laurent,
Bollards are an Australian design (by William Bollard). The designs can still be bought (websearch it) and I've seen quite a few 40'-odd steel over the years down under. I personally don't know of a Bollard circumnavigation but I would guess there would be a few in that size. Bollard also did a lot of powerboat designs, and some motorsailers which are more motor than sail. A 60' ketch sounds like one of his motorsailer designs, hence more motor than sail and potentially a gigantic and permanently crippling gas bill.

We buyed the Bollard 60 last week in Malaysia.She is in very good condition,builted under Australian survey.
The sail area is not so bad,we can eventually increase it with a gennaker but we don't care too much about speed.There is a vey good engine Gardner 130 HP.Very slow running and economic.
I am still looking for other owners of this Bollard 60 Blue wave.
