lol...of course it's fun! You gotta have a project!

Incidentally if the roller furler is beyond recovery, we changed to an Alado. It doesn't use a mast head halyard to raise the sail. Our other furler was recoverable and we were able to sell the old one for parts!

Hey Patrick...No mods necessary. The boat is already set up with that system. Just not installed. The rig had never been used as far as i could tell. The sail is crinkly fresh. My wife likes the name "Sloop Du Jour" so what can ya do?

That's great, so it's already a slutter. In which case it "could" be called **** Du Jour

This MAY be a 2 year old posting.
I sent the original poster a message to see it it is still active.

$20,000.
So it’s still for sale and down to $20k? If it’s as good as the FB ad says, that’s an excellent price for a go-anywhere boat.

A Buncha Sailboats

Earlier today, I found myself with some time and was searching through Facebook and Craigslist. When I found the first boat, I came here to post and found that the thread had been closed for posting.

This happened another time a few months back and the thread was closed for a while. After finding a couple more boats, I just decided to create a new thread so that I wouldn't lose the boats that I found and also in case this one was locked for good.

I didn't find anything spectacular today, but there were a few that were interesting. Check them out at: https://www.cruisersforum.com/forums....html#poststop

So I'm still wondering what happened. Maybe a Mod can fill us in.

Does anyone know something about this Grampian? I live in VA and I can't find any info online about it.
I don't thing Grampian made anything larger than a 34?

40 ft Bristol

boat sail yawl - $30,000 (Belfast ME)
Wow, two Bristols popped up, almost together. This one is beautiful, but lots of teak to maintain.

Re: Boats Less Than $30K Recent Noteworthy Finds

I post this because it's an interesting little "motorsailor", not because it's a good deal

I have never seen one of these before. Cute but way overpriced, imo, especially for the time of year and the location (fairly remote, on Eastern Georgian Bay). It is probably trailerable.

1984 Bluejacket 23 motorsailor. $25K Canadian (~$20K US).

(The name Swallow, may refer to the children's book Swallows and Amazons!)
