In my experience, a 50mm lens is basically a neutral lens. Anything with a lower number can be called a fisheye and can be used to make things look more expansive. Lenses which are longer than that 50mm are more telephoto and will compress space. A telephoto wouldn't work in an enclosed space like the inside of a boat because it would just magnify a small portion of the interior, but when used to take a picture of something in the distance, it will make things seem closer to each other than they really are.

She's made to look as wide as a ship, I think doubles volleyball could be played on the bow, and take a look at her stern Wow What a rear end!

Incidentally how much does it cost to keep a boat in Long Island Sound or environs?

If you can get a town/city mooring permit you can do it pretty cheap ($1k or less). Marina $3500 minimum. Don't forget winter storage. $1500+

Thanks. Yeah, it's a fair outlay. (Similar around here). With a fairly low-priced boat it's worth selling fast.
However, that doesn't necessarily mean that they will.

Just joking but good question. When I see a boat I first go to sailboat data .com and check out those numbers like the capsize and comfort numbers. This model is not the best on those measures but probably pretty quick for bay sailing

I think there is going to be a big shift in the market over the next year. The market is saturated with new owners who are figuring out that a boat cost more than the price tag.

Exterior wood looks good. Exterior canvas and cushions too.
Fixed ports.
Not sure about the anchoring system (I'd get a manual windlass at least).

The engine is original. It is a Westerbeke, Marinized Perkins 4-107. I had one in my Tartan Blackwatch 37. This one has just over 2000 hours. The current owners bought it 4 years ago and never used it. The prior owner to them used it to entertain clients. The main is dirty but still crinkly newish. The thread is perfect. The roller jib is really good. It comes with a Asymmetrical Spinnaker that looks like it has never been used. The rigging is past its life but just by age, not use.

Yes...I surveyed her and doing an out of the water survey on the bottom next week. Bill Shaw, the designer, really thought out the interior. A walk in shower! Engine accessibility from all sides, front and back. A little access door in the galley lower cupboard to access the dip stick and lift pump. Very little "boat yoga" on this boat.
The boat is screaming for an electric windlass and a Rocna.

I don't like when people list boats with so little info like price and model to start with. Even listing for your father you just need to include some details.
But anyway the interior wood looks to be in way above average condition, even if its a little dark for todays taste it is warm. Maybe a port or two dripped? I like the 3 companion way steps.When older the 6-7 step ladder is a bit much. Falling from this one will keep you from reaching terminal velocity before hitting the floor. (maybe). Anyway its a 1969 Morgan and thats all I know but it is very attractive.

Thanx...Last bottom maintenance was over 6 months ago but hopefully there will not be any surprises. Because the batteries were dead, I have not heard the engine run yet. So that is a biggie too.

My wife thought the name was cute. Me? ... so, so. The boat I cruised in Mexico with was named "Joli Elle" (Pretty Girl), from the previus owner. I thought of renaming this one "Joli Femme" (Pretty Woman).
For a year and a half I had been looking for a vessel to replace the Westsail 28 which is almost finished. This checked off a lot of boxes. I probably looked at 6 boats in that time frame but either the boat was is dilapidated condition or the seller was non responsive or a broker was a #!@*-head. Quite the Christmas present, if all goes well.
