Re: Boats Less Than $30K Recent Noteworthy Finds
The Yankee 30 is a cult boat and many have circumnavigated. It is a Sparksman and Stephens design and the had the right to inspect layups...well built boats!

If the hull is sound and nothing major is amiss, this may be a very worthy project for someone with will and skills.
How well were the hulls built in Y30?

Very interested. Id like to set up a test drive.
You'll never see me again afterwards, but I'd still like to set up a test drive.

Pacific Seacrest Orion located in the Sea of Cortez.
Sailboats for sale in Mexico
This boat appears to be in very good condition but needs updating in the interior. I belive this boat would be serviceable as is but sails and other systems might need updating or replacement in a few years.
It's a great boat for a couple or single hander. Great price!

Please send additional non specific information and more photographs beyond the two hundred you have posted.
I can't afford to get out of bed in the morning but I have a plan. If this will still be available in ten years I am very interested. I would also like to explain my plan to you in great detail.
Please provide the Dellenbaugh Angle before I decide if I want to waste any more of your time.
I am a serious buyer.

SteadyHand,
Thanks for this very useful thread. Over and over, example after example, it puts to rest the silliness fostered by armchair warriors that you can't go cruising with "only" a $30,000 budget for purchase and fitting out.
Yes, they'll still argue the point, but then...there are those who absolutely need 14 pieces of luggage for a one week vacation - and who think this fad for plastic boats will soon pass. ;-)

This boat just came up locally (Lake Ontario). It looks very sweet, and well suited to a trip down the east coast to the Caribbean. Comments?
Asking price $15k cdn.
