Re: Boats Less Than $30K Recent Noteworthy Finds
Here’s another in Clear Lake/Kemah.
1980 Cape Dory 27 for $7500.
Wouldn’t mind having a look at her myself but we’re not ready to buy.

Re: Boats Less Than $30K Recent Noteworthy Finds
As a P-35 owner, I thought that I would post this P-35 that seems to have recently dropped its price.

1981 Pearson 424 $24,500 USD
"Owner wants this vessel sold!!!!! New lower price....ALL OFFERS PRESENTED>>>>>This Pearson 424 has had a lot of additions and upgrades preformed by her current owner including a new Beta engine with under 150 hours. ... Owner has moved West and is buying a ranch MUST SELL!! She does need some attention. "
https://www.yachtworld.com/yacht/1981-pearson-424-7894964
The price has been dropping significantly and steadily over the last half a year. Sadly, it is too far away for me to manage the purchase process then delivery.

Wow, never sailed one, but if I lived closer and was looking for a bigger boat I’d sure check that one out! Always liked the look of the Pearsons and they have a good rep. Is that ketch or cutter rig?

Yeah, this listing has been making me cry. I've wanted a Pearson 424 for a long time. I just cannot work out how I could take off the time needed to make her mine and get her up to the Ches. Bay.

Re: Boats Less Than $30K Recent Noteworthy Finds
I always thought that was one of the more sensible cruising designs. Someone should snatch that up.

1984 Passport 40 - $30,000 USD
Price just dropped $30K.
General reviews seem really good for the Passport 40 as a yacht designed for a couple cruising as opposed to a dock queen. I have to wonder what is wrong with this one; I don't see any clues in the listing. Others currently listed are over $100K.

Another potentially really good boat. I am guessing the engine is blown on it or it suffered some kind of damage, but that’s just a guess.

Re: Boats Less Than $30K Recent Noteworthy Finds
The ad does not give any indication that there is any engine problems. This is a Perry design and well sought after.

Re: Boats Less Than $30K Recent Noteworthy Finds
Took a look a the pictures and it is definitely rough, but it may just have sat in storage for years. Not the perfect boat for us but it will definitely work and the price seems good even if it does need a motor.
Sent the broker a message, Ill report back if they respond.
