Re: Boats Less Than $30K Recent Noteworthy Finds

Anyone looking for a solid piece of history? This may be the first, but certainly one of the first, production fiberglass boats...

I like the looks of these boats, unfortunately it looks like the owner glassed in the windows at the aft of the cabin. That would be one claustrophobic boat to hang out aboard with only 5 small round portholes to let in the light.

MORGAN 42' Sailboat

MORGAN 42' Sailboat, BETTER THAN BUYING NEW! CRUISING READY!! (Seabrook TX)
I've never been a big fan of Morgan OIs, but if I was to get one, this is probably the nicest one that I've seen and for the right price. It even has a hard top bimini.

Looks like it says fiberglass in the ad.

Hard to tell for me. Going to SailboatData.com, two, 44 footers are listed. One built by Pearson and the other by Cheoy Lee. Neither of which look like the boat in the ad. Although it could be a Pearson if the main salon window were decreased in size.

Re: Boats Less Than $30K Recent Noteworthy Finds

My FB page froze while trying to get a link.

Just capturing what I have while I try for link again.

Looks quite the boat for €25,000. Near dollar parity now.

Hi CaptWho - this one might not quite fit the budget after all - "Asking $74,950/obo"
Wish it did!

Says the cabin has been rebuilt. I emailed him but haven't heard back from him yet.

Re: Boats Less Than $30K Recent Noteworthy Finds

I think judging by the portholes, the Alden 44 is a Pearson. Alden 2 44s look quite similar, I like them bith, and also remind me of some of his other work.
