I'm assuming this is a typo. But if not...

The price went up from $1 a bit, but at least there's a real price listed.

Kinda funny marketing ploy. If it doesn't sell at a certain price, raise it.
First $1, then $12,500 and now $20,000. Next month, $25,000?

Funny lots more raves about the smaller Cape Dory's, are they better for potential offshore?

Anyone know the headroom?

25D's have 5'11"

The 28 is 6'2" ?

All the CDs have good reps for build quality and seaworthiness. I don't know the headroom, but I bet the 28 has 6' like my Columbia 29.

You were probably right about the typo. Listing says US$162,280 now.

Amazing that boat finally made it over there.
If I remember rightly it was built by a guy who wanted to sail/race around the world with it and had big structural failures on the first outing in California.

Might be a different boat though. Not sure.

That middle truss (not sure what you'd call it? Strut?) seems like it was added in as an afterthought.

Re: Boats Less Than $30K Recent Noteworthy Finds

Westsail 32, Hawaii (auction says "40", but that's with the bowsprit, I figure).

Current high bid is $560 (+$300 doc fee, +$100 "escort to mooring"), 6 days to end, but pretty sure it'll go for less than $30K.

Certainly has potential!
